1. Elephant Dung Paper Factory : wastage produced by Elephants( Dung) can be used to produce paper products that can be sold and earn money. As our organization is only making small scale paper products at the moment we need a place where we can do larger productions.
2. Aim : To use the wastage, generate work places for more than 20 people.
3. Benefits : Its benefit goes to the society directly.( Education, health, protection of Bio-diversity)
People living around the village are in a marginal income group. Due to the lack of education and finances, they do not have regular health check ups. They go to hospital only when they are completely ill. Sometimes it is too late, causing more serious illnesses and sometimes death.
This could be prevented by check ups in the early stages of an illness.
So Green Society Nepal is trying to build a small hospital, where all kinds of check ups will be done without cost. This will offer marginal income groups free health care which will enable them to lead healthier lives.
Education is the most effective way of changing people’s lives. Our government has 2 different kinds of school system which divides people into two Groups.
The Government school system is not competitive and teachers and not motivated. All the subjects are taught in Nepalese, except one, English.
The Private System is good but expensive. Those who study in private schools always have better job opportunities.
Now Green Society Nepal is trying to build a privately run school. Villagers who are able to pay for their children will be charged and those who are not able to pay will be given free education. In return those families will help the school when manpower is required.
Aim: to give equal education to rich and poor families.
Benefits: The community gains an educational benefit that will eventually benefit the whole society.
